Giving
Giving to the work of the church is an important part of worship.
We value your giving of time and money and your prayer.
We have a weekly collection as part of our service but giving can be made in several different ways.
Regular giving is the most helpful way to give and it assists our planning. You can give by standing order through your bank.
If you pay tax in the UK the chancellor will give us back a sum equivalent to the tax you pay at the basic rate so please fill in a Gift Aid Form which is available from the church treasurer and we can reclaim the tax.
Please speak to one of the Deacons or contact us for more details
We make a point of using the Gift Aid scheme and the majority of our income comes through this.
We give 68 % of our Church tythe away to Home Mission and The Baptist Missionary Scociety (BMS)
The final 32 % is given to support the Fazakerly Family who are missionaries in Malawi.
They work for SIM-
SIM is an international interdenominational Christian mission agency. You can read news of them and find out what they are up to by visiting their website www.fazakerley.org.uk.

Malawi is one of the few countries in Africa that gained its independence without
fighting for it. Though relatively poor, the nation is almost self-
It is now reported that the Islamic movement is especially targeting Malawi as a base for outreach into other countries.
SIM (through its predecessors in southern Africa) entered Malawi in 1900, and God blessed the work with the establishment of strong churches, especially in the south. The Africa Evangelical Church (AEC) was established, with whom the present missionaries work closely.
In recent years, the Church and mission have begun to move to new areas in the north and east. Prior to the SIM/AEF merger, SIM missionaries were also working in Malawi, seeking to reach the million plus Yao people in the east.
Historically, the Yao conducted raids for slaves, whom they sold to Arab traders.
Current efforts to evangelize them are hampered by the inter-
Two Yao churches have been planted. Missionaries are developing Sunday school materials, supervising the revision of the Yao Bible, and facilitating the evangelism work of other organizations.
Mission and Church (AEC) together are experiencing a growth in vision for reaching unreached areas. They are also providing leadership training for church leaders, both in a Bible school and through extension courses, as well as Bible study groups.
Bible study books in the national language are made available to women's groups throughout Malawi. Health ministries are relieving human suffering and opening doors for effective witness.
One of the ministrues in Malawi is to those suffering from HIV and AIDS. Here is a short video on what SIM is doing to help.A school for blind children helps train them for successful return to village life after completing their education.
Please pray for:
Growing vision for outreach on the part of the church
Spiritual awakening for churches in the south that are in danger of complacency
Church leaders to be well trained in biblical and ministry knowledge
The Church to become passionate about ministering to HIV/AIDS sufferers
Yao radio broadcasts to reach into homes and hearts
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times having all that you need you will abound in every good work.
